just five more minutes

One day, at the park there is a woman sat down next o a man on a bench near a playground.

"That's my son over there" said the woman pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.

"He's a fine looking boy" the man said. "That's my daughter on the bike in the white dress". After the man talk to the woman for a while, he took a look to his watch. And then he called his daughter "Mellisa can we go home now?"

And the daughter said "just more five minutes dad, please? just five minutes more"

the man nodded and Mellisa continued to ride her bike with the smile on her little mouth. after 5 minutes pass, the father called her again "it's time to go home now, dear"

And for the second time Mellisa asked to her father, "five more minutes,dad. just five more minutes". And for the second time the man made his daughter wish come true.

"You are a patient father" said the woman responded. The man smiled and said, "Her older brother Tommy was passed away by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. i never spent much time with Tommy and now I'd give anything for just five more minutes with him. i've vowed not to make the same mistakes with Mellisa. She thinks she was five more minutes to ride her bike. But the truth is i get five more minutes to watch her play"

life is all about making priorities. So give five more minutes of your time to someone that you love.
